Madman of the Week ~The Republican Party and the Slot Market~
Yea, The Pubs get the award this month. I know…I know… they are always in the running but this one is for their unbridled greed once again demonstrated by their bemoaning the expiration of the Bush tax cuts. The world as we know it will cease to exist if the Bush tax cuts expire. As Fred Thomson, Republican Senator said, it will have “devastating” and catastrophic consequences for the American economy.”
Really? Fred Thompson is a “tax Expert” meaning of course he pays no taxes. The Republicans believe they are entitled to keep all the money they steal from us and they don’t want it taxed. Well, they worked so hard to steal it, ya can’t blame em.
The Republicans are firm supporters of Democracy until the word taxes are mentioned then they become Socialist. They demand the Government or the middle class subsidize their accrued wealth, of course it’s in our best interest. The Republican’s believe the middle class should pay all the taxes so they can play the Slots, the slots being the Stock Market. You see If Thompson pays no taxes or less taxes he’s gonna play the Slot market which, eh… well not sure how that helps me. If the stock market goes up I make no money and if it goes down I make no money. It seems pretty revenue neutral for the majority of us.
The ironic part of the equation is that the Republicans have been skewering Obama for the deficit and when an opportunity arrives to cut it a bit. They bitch and moan. The Republican plan has always been, “you guys pay all the taxes we’ll keep our money and we’ll give you a few sub minimum wage jobs” The Republicans are historically against a minimum wage which of course is another story. So batten down the hatches and buy a flotation device cause the tears are heading our way, Imagine that, a Republican paying his fair share. It’s downright UN-American
